What’s your favourite comment from someone tasting your gin for the first time?
That’s amazing! It’s not what I thought it would taste like.. they look so pretty! I love the branding.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
Creating a strong Scottish brand that is seen to be serious but fun.
What’s the worst advice you’ve been given?
Produce a range of ready-to-drink gin cocktails without establishing the gin brand first.
If you had a robot to do one part of the gin process, which part would it be?
Marketing and social media.
What makes you smile most days?
Happy customers that appreciate the work that goes into creating a successful brand.
What does success mean for you?
Ellis Gin is resident on all premium restaurant, bar and shops shelves and gantries across the UK.
Who would you swap lives with for a day?
Tom Hunter – how wonderful would it be to be able to help small businesses strive!
What subject was your favourite at school?
Accountancy! I know I’m a geek!
What’s your favourite botanical?
How long can you go without checking your phone?
1.5 hours – or when I’m sleeping! I can’t believe how reliant I have become on it.
Who’s your drinks industry hero?
Bethany Franklin – she is a ‘Real Housewife’ who brought out a range of ‘skinny cocktails’ then her own spirits.
What can you not live without?
What would you like to do but are too scared?
Jump out of a plane.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
You are inspirational to have changed from a successful career to an industry you are not familiar with.
If you had limitless funds, where would you holiday?
I love the Greek Islands. I would spent time travelling around a few that I haven’t been to. I’d also be keen to return to Crete, Santorini and Mykonos… which I love.
Shimmer gins, colour changing gins and truly beautiful cocktails. The hardest decision is choosing which one to buy!
